Fall 2014: Upcoming Mentoring Opportunities
After having such an amazing time teaching this summer, I'm thrilled to announce that I will be continuing to teach with the Mill Street Loft this fall.
On the horizon is an Illustrative Photography class for teens, where I take students through my creative process and give them tools to develop their own voices and creative practice.
This class will also challenge students to push their boundaries and beliefs about what is possible, and will teach them how to produce compelling work even with limited means and tools.
Tap your imagination to create characters and tell stories within your photographs. Students will learn how to craft, design and translate their ideas into final photographs. Storytelling, set design and costuming will all be discussed within the class. Each student will be encouraged to develop their own voice and body of work using techniques and prompts from the class. This course will also discuss ways for students to achieve their visions in-camera, as well as in post-production.
10 Saturdays, 1:00pm–3:00pm
Sept. 27, Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22, (no class Nov. 29), Dec. 6
